Before and After: The Magic of Editing
This is straight from the camera. |
And this is edited! |
That one is edited with some basic adjustments to the RAW image, then I take it through Radlab. Let me tell you how much I'm loving Radlab. A lot. I've made a few 'recipes' with their stylets and the one used on the above image is my basic recipe that I use on all photos. It give it a nice warm color and a little boost in contrast without being too overpowering.
I think I'll do this more often!

Sneak Peeks!
It's been a fairly busy over this way lately! Last Sunday my sister-in-law had a baby (a super adorable baby boy, by the way). On Monday I had a senior shoot and a family shoot back to back. And, yesterday I had a maternity shoot and my nephew's 10th birthday party. Anna girl has either been having some teething issues or a cold of sorts because she's been very clingy, hard to get down for a nap, and has had a runny nose. Needless to say it's been hard to get anything done around here. All she will let me do is hold her while watching videos from The Glee Project. What can I say, the girl is hooked!
Long story short: here's some sneak peeks from those shoots!

This is Collyn! I'm actually almost done with editing her photos.
This is Aimee and Josh! Aimee is my sister and this was the first time I've done an actual shoot with them for family pictures. I'm excited to get to edit more of them soon!
This is Devon! This was only my second maternity shoot ever and I'd say it was a success! The weather was all over the place (hot, chilli, raining, super sunny, you get the gist), but it was a good time, nonetheless! She's due in mid-October so I've told her that she has to let me do some newborn photos...and I think she's agreed!
Speaking of newborns...
That is my new nephew, Nehemiah! Seriously, how adorable is he?! I'll be doing my first real newborn shoot with him this Wednesday. I am beyond stoked.

My Baby Anna
So, this is more of a see-how-this-posts post.
My plan is to update this blog/website with professional photos as they get done and maybe a few things that are semi-personal. These photos are of my daughter, Anna, from the other day on our porch. I happen to think she's the bee's knees, naturally, so I'm a fan.
Also, you see that on the watermark equivalent it says "alysaramsay.com" and the URL to this website is currently alysaramsay.blogspot.com. That's something that I'm hoping to sort out very soon.
I think for this one I should clarify that I could indeed edit out that drool drip on her chin, but I thought it was cute.
Look at those eyes!
Hopefully I'll have more pictures to post soon. I've been working on revamping the way I do things when it comes to pricing and printing, so I'm hoping that will help get some projects going.
